I’m the co-author of Resilient: How to Grow an Unshakeable Core of Calm, Strength, and Happiness, and host of Being Well, a podcast that explores psychology, personal growth, and all the beautiful, difficult parts of being human.
Since launching in 2018, Being Well has been downloaded over 15 million times and helped hundreds of thousands of people learn key psychological skills, improve their mental health, and generally become a little happier, healthier, and (hopefully) wiser. We’re regularly ranked as one of the top mental health podcasts in the world.
My frequent guest and sometimes co-host is Dr. Rick Hanson, a long-time clinical psychologist and the bestselling author of books like Buddha’s Brain and Hardwiring Happiness. Much of what I share here has its roots in his work, and I (literally) wouldn’t be here without him. In addition to Rick, I’ve been blessed with an incredible roster of guests, including world-class thinkers, authors, and experts, like Angela Duckworth, Gabor Maté, Nedra Tawwab, Bruce Perry, Lori Gottlieb, Steven Porges, Tara Brach, and Yung Pueblo. What I’m Sharing Here
As with anything new, we’re going to discover what this is over time. Here are a few things I’m thinking of sharing in this space:
Long-form writing.
Short-form writing focused on specific topics and psychological tools.
More informal audio and video content.
More than anything, I’d like to use this as a place where I can connect with readers and listeners more directly and personally, and foster a real sense of community. If there’s something else you’d like to see, please let me know.
